Entertainment Books are mini-phonebook size books of coupons that give you big discounts on restaurants, movies, and other attractions in that book’s geographic area. At $20 each (retail price), you can often recoup the purchase with just a few coupons. Oftentimes the coupons mirror coupons you can find in local circulars, sometimes they’re special offers made exclusively with Entertainment Book, either way they are packaged up in a nice book and very easy to use. We usually buy an Entertainment Book for our hometown, as some of our favorite local restaurants have buy 1 get 1 coupons, but our best hack has been to use it when we go on vacation.
When you’re on vacation, Entertainment Books work very well because you’ll probably eat out almost every meal. The Entertainment Books will have coupons to help make the cost of that much lower. When you’re on vacation, you probably will visit many of the attractions included in the book itself. When we went to Lake Tahoe, we took advantage of a coupon for Buy 1 Get 1 ticket on a short cruise, valued at $47.50. We had several books because we knew about the coupon and we easily saved ourselves a hundred dollars, including paying for the books! (that trip alone sold us on this strategy)
The books are usually valid from January 1st to November 1st and you can usually get discounts and free shipping if you look hard enough.
